Developed for oily and blemish-prone skin types, the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+ seeks to clarify and hydrate for up to 24 hours while providing visible results in just eight hours. The dual-action daily gel helps to minimise the appearance of imperfections, dark spots and discolouration, alongside diminishing the look of excess sebum for a more mattified finish.
Fortified with salicylic and lipo-hydroxy acids, the moisturiser provides a gentle micro-exfoliation, helping to decongest pores and promote smoother-looking skin. The formula is supported by niacinamide and zinc PCA, lending brightening and hydrating benefits, alongside encouraging a unified tone and texture. Mannose locks in moisture to help encourage a visibly smoother surface. An advanced phylobioma active ingredient tops the composition to protect from excess sebum and future breakouts, balancing the complexion and layering well with makeup to leave the skin feeling purified and nourished.

Dry skin
I bought this product in my local pharmacy. I only used it for a week and it changed my skin texture severly. My face feels like a Sahara desert. My skin is on the oily side and this product completely got rid of my moisture. I followed the instructions as I was told and I didnt see any slight benefits from this product. I am removing this product from my skin care and hopefully regain the moisture I have lost.

I've been using effaclar duo for over a year now as part of my skin care regime and it's a must have! My skin is prone to acne whilst being dry and effaclar has sorted it right out! An all time favourite!
I used this for a couple of years along with LRP foaming cleanser, and it’s really helped keep my oily/acne prone skin under control - not perfect, but noticeably clearer! I briefly stopped using this to try out The Ordinary niacinamide serum instead, but that really didn’t agree with my skin and made me break out. So I’ve now gone back to La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+ and my skin looks far better already. Having done a bit of research, LRP Duo+ also contains niacinamide but at a lower % which is better for sensitive skin. So would definitely recommend this - I will definitely be keeping it in my skincare routine from now on!

I found this a little to heavy for my skin. It felt like it sat on my skin and my partner notice my skin felt different, as in the texture felt odd. I am sticking to more cleaner skin care products to treat my acne/blemish prone skin. I didnt notice any difference in my skin after 2 weeks use either.
