Formulated to provide mild exfoliation, the Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% Superficial Peeling Formulation from The Ordinary promotes a smoother, more evenly-toned complexion.
The serum is fortified lactic acid, an exfoliating alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), to help improve the appearance of pigmentation, uneven skin tone and texture. The addition of a Tasmanian pepperberry derivative helps to soothe sensitive skin, while hyaluronic acid attracts and retains moisture.
Contraindications: Lactic Acid should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Please refer to additional sun protection note and other warnings in provided Directions.
Apply once per day, ideally in the evening. Can be diluted with other treatments to reduce strength until skin develops tolerance. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a physician. (Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.)

Don’t rush!!
I love this product but when I first bought it, I went straight in with every night and piled it on. I then started getting cystic acne... never had this problem Before and my skin felt so sore. I took it out for a week to allow my skin to calm and after speaking the ordinary they told me to only add in new products gradually and 2-3 drops is more than enough for the face and neck. She advised that if it continue then to switch to another acid that’s gentler. I started mixing it in with my moisturiser every other night and now I’m on every night before moisturiser and my skin is glowing. The key is only 2-3 drops. I love it now. If you use any of the products from Deciem then contact them as they are very usefull. The customer service at LF is great too and have never tried to oversell me stuff that is not needed. The delivery is great and I love that you can pay via Apple Pay.

I've been using lactic acid 5% for about 6 weeks and I saw some positive differences. But this product worked better and my skin looks and feels great. There's a tiny bit of stinging but it subsides after a minute. It's an amazing product, definitely worth re-purchasing!

Great once you get used to it
Im on my third bottle of this. It stings slightly at first, so only use a tiny bit and build up. Use your night cream on top. It exfoliates your skin at night (the lactic acid bit). Not sure what the hylaronic acid does apart from maybe help your moisturiser work; your skin doesnt dry out anyway. I can report a reduction in spots to the extent I rarely ever get any now. It also makes your skin slightly smoother and more even.
