The Clear and Defend Plus Facial Wash is a refreshing formula that helps to cleanse the skin, encouraging a clarified, more radiant look. Neutrogena’s face wash is powered by a 4% AHA/PHA blend that helps to even the skin tone and soothe the appearance of blemishes.
A 2% concentration of glycolic acid seeks to minimise the appearance of discolouration caused by blemishes. Gluconolactone, a resurfacing agent, aims to refine the skin, while salicylic acid helps to remove excess sebum. Discover a balanced-looking complexion with this revitalising face wash.
- Application: Wet face. Apply to hands, add water and massage face gently. Rinse thoroughly. Start with one application daily, then increase to two if desired. If dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
- Please Note: Avoid contact with eyes. Contains an AHA that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and sunburn. Use a sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.

I really enjoyed using this face wash. It does a fantastic job of clearing away makeup and the daily dirt and grime. The Addition of acids ensures that the skin becomes clearer and smoother each day, but it does not cause any flaking as it exfoliates. Horrible!! after second use I have come up with a dry red rash all over my face which burns and white bumps all over. Really struggling to get rid of it! Far too harsh on your skin!

Just seen another review had the same experience. After use I broke out in an itchy dry rash and small spots all over my chin that I’m currently struggling to heal. This is way too harsh on the skin do not buy it!!
