The Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder puts a sparkling twist on traditional setting powders. Aside from keeping your makeup set for 16 hours, this powder uses pearl pigments to grace the skin with a naturally luminous finish.
With a touch of sheer coverage, the powder avoids settling into fine lines and pores, giving a modern matte finish that is crease-free. This lightweight formula is soft and silky, meaning it can subtly blur imperfections without adding weight or looking cakey. What’s more, the no-flashback formula creates a soft-focus effect, making it perfect for photos.

- Preparing the puff is key: press the Velour Puff into the loose powder, then work the powder into the puff by folding and rubbing the halves together, or by tapping the powdered side vigorously on back of the hand.
- Gently press puff onto skin, using a rolling motion to "work" the powder in. (Around the eyes, use Secret Brightening Powder for Under Eyes)
- As with all setting powders, apply after any creamy formulas, including cream blush.

Best setting powder I have ever used
As the title says! Best setting powder I have ever used. I personally don't use the puff that comes with the product. Limited edition design was cute but wish I got the classic instead.

I absolutely love this powder anyways, but I bought it mainly for the big powder puff which didn’t let me down. It’s now December 2022 and I’ve only just finish this product.

Fab powder
For years I’ve bought cheaper powders and applied with a fluffy brush but I was curious to try this famous powder and puff. It’s safe to say I won’t be going back. The puff takes a little getting used to when you’ve used a brush for years but it’s definitely worth having. As I’m getting older I need slightly different products so they don’t settle into the fine wrinkles and this is perfect. It calms my oily skin without looking heavy. Well worth the money.

A must have in my make up bag
I love trying new products so I only repeat purchase items that I really like. This is my 4th tub of this powder. It sets my make up without resting into any of my fine lines and coupled with (another favourite) Urban Decay setting spray lasts all day.

Good Quality
I brought as a gift for my mother who has dry to normal skin and it looks fresh without drying out the face- she says the quality of the product is good
