Formulated to provide mild exfoliation, the Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% Superficial Peeling Formulation from The Ordinary promotes a smoother, more evenly-toned complexion.
The serum is fortified lactic acid, an exfoliating alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), to help improve the appearance of pigmentation, uneven skin tone and texture. The addition of a Tasmanian pepperberry derivative helps to soothe sensitive skin, while hyaluronic acid attracts and retains moisture.
Contraindications: Lactic Acid should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Please refer to additional sun protection note and other warnings in provided Directions.
Apply once per day, ideally in the evening. Can be diluted with other treatments to reduce strength until skin develops tolerance. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a physician. (Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.)

I have only been using this product for about a week. I have not had any peeling like other reviewers have sad. Which is slightly disappointing. However I’m going to keep using it as it’s only been a week. Very gentle product which is nice, as I have very sensitive skin

This tend to sting sometimes, but it doesn't last long. I have sensitive skin and this doesn't seem to upset it too much - it does get a bit red just as it stings, but afterwards it only feels smooth and soft and I do feel this clears the pores and blackheads. I don't use it too often due to my sensitive skin, but once a week is perfectly fine for me. For the price you can't go wrong
