The Clear and Defend Plus Facial Wash is a refreshing formula that helps to cleanse the skin, encouraging a clarified, more radiant look. Neutrogena’s face wash is powered by a 4% AHA/PHA blend that helps to even the skin tone and soothe the appearance of blemishes.
A 2% concentration of glycolic acid seeks to minimise the appearance of discolouration caused by blemishes. Gluconolactone, a resurfacing agent, aims to refine the skin, while salicylic acid helps to remove excess sebum. Discover a balanced-looking complexion with this revitalising face wash.
- Application: Wet face. Apply to hands, add water and massage face gently. Rinse thoroughly. Start with one application daily, then increase to two if desired. If dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
- Please Note: Avoid contact with eyes. Contains an AHA that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and sunburn. Use a sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.

Great for blemish prone skin!
Loved the simple and clear packaging, it was easy to see the main/active ingredients straight away. I started off using this at night then increased to 2x a day. A moisturiser is needed to prevent your skin from drying out. In a short time I saw a huge improvement in my skin, it was the most blemish free it has been in a while and the texture had improved a lot. I'm looking forward to seeing my dark marks fade even more while using this face wash

Skin fresh and smooth
First impression with packaging were good. Nothing fancy and gives you all the info you need on the front. Simple designs like this are always a winner with me. I was excited to try this although slightly dubious i might be left with tight feeling skin but it didnt disappoint. It foams up nicely and i could feel with my fingers tips the grease and dirt being lifted. After rinsing my skin felt lovely and soft with out drying it out (which was a concern due to the little knowledge i had on Acids). I have been using this for 2 weeks now and i dare say my facial marks look slightly improved and my skin texture is the best its been in years

Amazing facewash
After two weeks of using I can say this facewash is amazing. I have a lot of acne on my forehead. Using this facewash has significantly improved my skin and I would definitely recommend it.

Neutrogena face wash
I got to test this product from Hometester club and I am very satisfied with this product. It's easy to use,it comes with pump applicator and one pump it's just a tight amount for use. It's fragrance free and makes nice leather. After use my skin feels so clean and soft to touch. It doesn't dry out skin at all. After few weeks of using I noticed slightly improvement on my skin. I got less spots, and even if some appears, its healing faster than usual. Definitely buy again.

I was given this face wash from Hometesterclub for my honest review. I really liked this face wash I have combination oily skin prone to acne. Firstly this definitely improved my oily skin without drying it out which is a massive plus for me, I generally have noticed my skin having less blemishes since using too

Unfortunately average.
After washing, the face was smooth, but there were blackheads. Nice gel texture, but it stings the eyes. I don't recommend it.

Far too strong - caused chemical burns
This may be suitable for occasional use, NOT for an every day face wash like it states on the bottle. It is far FAR too strong! What ever you do, absolutely DO NOT use any other acid product with this facewash. This should be a clear warning on the bottle! I did 2 separate trials. First lasted 2 days. I used Neutrogenas clear&defend+ facial wash followed by the clear&defend+ daily serum. After using the products twice I woke up to horrifically red itchy blistered skin covering my entire forehead, down and round my nose, mouth and chin. Originally I thought it was an allergic reaction but the Dr advised its a serious chemical burn. I gave my skin 2 weeks to recover before trying again. BIG mistake! After using face wash twice in my evening routine with my regular low strength Niacinamide serum I woke up with red angry itchy cracking skin around my entire nose, mouth and eyes. I've now needed prescription cream for this chemical burn! And my skin is yet to recover! I do NOT have sensitive skin. I have normal to slightly oily skin. AVOID this product!

Easy to use
Simple packaging but it is very easy to use! It needs a lot of water to completely wash off. My skin feels very nice after using this face wash but I didn’t notice any extra hydration or shine.

Great for blemishes.
I received this product from hometester club for free to test and review. #freesample This face wash has been great for my combination oily skin, it's non drying and helps keep my skin look less congested with fewer breakouts. I really like how easy it is to remove my make up with this face wash and also the pump is great for dispensing the right amount of product. With a combination of Salicylic acid, Glycolic acid and Gluconolactone, and aslo being fragrance free this face wash is great for acne prone or sensitive skin. I would start by using this once per day or even every other day untill your skin gets used to the product and also be sure to use SPF as it contains ingredients that can make your skin more sensitive to sun exposure.

Very nice
I received this product for free from Home TesterClub for my honest review. This is very nice face wash. I feel like my skin is clean and fresh but I need to carefully use it, because it do a little dry of my skin.
