Dreadful
I love MAC makeup and have bought several items in the past. And I had equally high expectations from this mascara. But the first time I opened it, I found it to be dry. Like it had been sitting at the bottom of my makeup bag for years and it was coming to the end of its life. So basically, I’ve bought a very expensive spoolie! Very poor show MAC.

Lots of fallout
I got the travel size as part of a set. I have long eyelashes, and found this does a great job at thickening them so they look really volumized. However, the fallout is too much, and I find it flakes under my eyes through the day, so for that I won't be repurchasing in future.

Very black, thickening, no curling power
I have Far East Asian heritage which means, like most people of this ethnicity, my eyelashes are short, sparse, straight and do not curl easily. This mascara is a very matte black and is great at thickening up my eyelashes and making them much more noticeable. 9/10 for colour and thickening. Lost one point however as it flakes a little. Not A LOT but noticeable enough for me to get annoyed when I look in the mirror a few hours later. Overall though I'd give this mascara a 3.5 out of 5 because it didn't do a great job of curling my lashes. I also use Maybelline's 'Colossal Go Extreme' mascara (in the yellow tube) and find that it's a really good dupe of the Nars Climax one AND does a better job of curling AND is less expensive.

Do not recommend
I think it’s the worst mascara i ever had. My eyelashes looks awful after using it. It clumps really bad if you apply couple of coats. Very disappointed.
