The La Roche-Posay Effaclar MAT 40ml is a mattifying daily moisturiser designed for oily skin types. Expertly formulated to help minimise the appearance of shine and visible pores, the lightweight serum provides hydration for up to 8 hours to support a visibly balanced complexion.
Enriched with sebulyse, known for its sebum-regulating properties, and absorbent micro-powders, the formula helps to control excess oil and visibly refine the look of textural irregularities. Dermatologist recommended and suitable for daily use, skin is left feeling softer and more even, with a fresh, matte finish throughout the day.
- Application: Apply morning and/or evening on the whole face. Avoid eye contour. Can be used as a makeup base.

Great product, but perhaps would be more suitable for people with dry skin. I got oily skin and I bhought it for matte function which is promised, but I feel it does quite the opposite. Perfect primer under make up.

Moisturising
I like this moisturiser, it doesn’t immediately mattify but I feel that over time it has made my skin less oily with regular usage. I will use this for my every day moisturiser now. I don’t feel that it mattifies skin on application so can’t be used effectively to prime skin before makeup. However it’s a generally nice moisturiser that doesn’t add any extra oil to your skin if you have oily skin.
