best for younger skin
L'Oreal True Match has been reformulated, so I thought I'd give it a try. In the bathroom (artificial light) it did look good when applied. my skin looked uniform, with a good, almost velvety coverage. In daylight it was a different story unfortunately. This is the sort of foundation that highlights the texture of your skin as well as covering it. It still looked fine on the sides of my face & my forehead, areas where I don't have any flaws and my pores are still quite small (I'm 53). On my nose though the pores were visible, highlighted pale where the foundation was sitting in them - lots of little creamy dots. Also an icepick scar on my chin was full of foundation & showed more rather than less. There is some sun damage on my upper cheeks under my eyes, and this looked a bit 'crepey'. So the True Match highlighted flaws that were there, rather than disguised them. On the plus side, the coverage is good for such a light foundation, and if you were under 40 I think it would be a good foundation to use. Not for older skin though.

A good affordable foundation
This is a good medium coverage foundation, it’s a thin liquid and to be honest I thought this would be too sheer for me but I was pleased as it has good coverage, it’s buildable too so you can get more coverage by layering. On my oily skin this lasts for a good few hours and it doesn’t make my skin oily, finish is a matte and it can emphasise texture so be sure to prep your skin throughly. I have the shade linen which looked it would be a tad light for my olive skin but it actually oxides to suit your skin so true to its claim it does match tone and texture of your skin. I would say it’s similar to the double wear but this looks more natural and not as caked. Would recommend.

Received this foundation super fast after online order. I have used this foundation in the previous packaging and loved it very much. Thats why I wanted to get this foundation again. Its reformulated I have heard and yes its slightly differend in texture.It blends beautifully but dries pretty quick to a matt finish.Staying power is for me plus 8hours after setting it with powder.It does not settle in lines or becomes cacky.Realy good foundation.I ordered the colour beige N4 unfortunately not a good match for my skin tone.It turns out very ashy on me.I normaly am C3 Beige Rose but this colour was unavailable. But I still love this foundation very!much and will repurchase in the future in my right shade.

This foundation gives you gorgeous skin. It has great coverage and the skin looks matte and luminous at the same time. This would be my best foundation if it lasts 8 eight hours but unfortunately it doesn't. And that is why I give it 4 stars and not 5. That is the only down side. But there is pressed powder to save the day. I fix it with rimmel stay matte couple od times if I need it to stay all day and that is it. I love the finish od this foundation so much and maybe it will last longer on skin in winter because it is summer now and a foundations lasts less on my right now. I highly recommend this foundation!
