CeraVe Smoothing Cream is an intensely moisturising formula designed to combat a variety of skin concerns, including unwanted bumps, scaliness and extreme dryness. Replenishing and non-irritating, the rich cream is packed with essential ingredients to benefit both face and body.
Salicylic Acid and Lactic Acid gently exfoliate to remove dead skin cells and soften rough areas of skin, taking care not to disturb the skin’s moisture barrier in the process. Ceramides help to strengthen the barrier of the skin and lock in a layer of moisture to prevent further patches of flaking or dryness. Though rich in texture, the cream is non-greasy and avoids leaving behind an unpleasant, sticky residue. Boasting soothing properties and 24-hour hydration, this face and body moisturiser is highly nourishing and can be applied to psoriasis and eczema-prone skin.

Very hydrating
This is now my go to night time moisturiser, I use this after my cleanser and honestly my skin feels so supple and hydrated. I used this continuously for a week with the cerave cleanser and I saw a HUGE improvement in the overall texture and appearance of my skin. Surprisingly it is not heavy, it is not too thick and glides on my skin very well and it does not leave a residue/ is not oily which for me is a bonus. It does what is it says on the label, I am very impressed with Cera ve; this is probably one of their best products. The best thing about this product is that a little goes a long way, I only use a small amount on my face and it does the job. Will definitely purchase this again!

IMO unsuitable for eczema prone skin
I have tried this a few times in some eczema zones on my face and it is incredibly irritating. I regret applying this a second time as it burns intensely and I would say brings forth my eczema instantly. How it can claim it is non-irritating I don't know as it immediately creates a stinging sensation that lasts and lasts. Totally unsuitable for dry eczema patches!

Didn’t work for me
I bought this as I was hoping it would help make my strawberry legs look better but after using it every day for a fortnight it hasn’t made any difference at all. It’s a good, thick moisturiser but it leaves the skin with a slightly tacky residue that’s not particularly pleasant. I gave it 3 stars as I also used it on my décolletage as my skin can sometimes look a bit bumpy there, especially if I’ve been out in the sun, and it does soothe it and make the skin look a little smoother.
