So good
I’m not saying this shampoo is to treat any scalp conditions, but I do suffer from eczema on my scalp and the prescription ointment leaves my hair too greasy so I don’t use it. Instead I tried this and yes as with most clarifying shampoos, it does need a strong conditioner after use, but the barely noticeable grains in it really clear my scalp and my scalp is itch and flake free for days until my next wash. Personally I use it between fortnightly and monthly, with my regular curlsmith shampoo on wash days in between and find this works well for me. We live in an area with hard water so this is also a factor to consider.

Great but £££
Great clarifying shampoo, I was really struggling with hard water and build up from trialing Boucleme. After two washes my hair feels soft and healthy again! Satisfying squeak when washing. Downside is you need to use a fair amount of product so it’s not going to last particularly long. No lingering scent.

My once a week…
I really do think this has transformed my curls, my scalp feels fresher also, I only wash my hair twice a week and I wanted something more that would really refresh my mane but be gentle enough not to dry out my curls, I co wash the other time so really this is the best shampoo I’ve used so far after reading reviews and shopping around a bit I’m so glad I decided on this one. It’s now a firm staple in my hair care routine

Not great
Too drying for not cleansing properly, need to shampoo twice with this to get rid of product build up dandruff making my hair even dryer- even then still doesn’t do a good job. Hard to use for me as it doesn’t foam up that well, I’m not a fan of that. Better clarifying shampoos out there

Great for scalp
This has been great for curing an itchy and flaky scalp. Makes the hair feel really clean but doesn’t make the scalp feel sore or sensitive after scrubbing. I use it every few washes and will definitely buy again.

Perfect to clean the scalp
I have tried a couple of products for dry, itchy scalp like the Aveeno, Yes I Am and Shea moisture ones, and none of them did anything for my scalp (I have dry scalp and right after washing my hair it gets both dry and flaky). This is the only shampoo that has solved that issue, it leaves my hair soft and super clean in the shower, and I do not get any flakes afterwards. It is pricy, but it is worth it.

Amazing
I bought this as i do suffer from a dry, itchy scalp and with having eczema i do have flare ups occasionally. Having curly hair means you do use a lot of products in your hair to help tame the frizz and define the curls. This isn't gritty but you can feel it's an exfoliant. Having tried other scalp scrubs i was nervous because with other scrubs i've struggled to get the bits out of my curls. These are so fine in this you don't need to worry. You can feel a cool sensation across your scalp as you massage it in but my hair felt clean but not stripped. It was still very soft and nourished. I'll use this every other week as i usually only wash my hair once a week to help keep the frizziness and dryness at bay. However since i've started using the whole range of Curlsmith products i do feel that i could wash my hair twice a week and know my hair wouldn't be stripped of any moisture. My hair is highlighted so is prone to becoming dry with over use of products but not with this range. Well worth trying and the money
