The foundation effortlessly glides over the visage, offering medium coverage with a lightweight, serum feel. Utilising treated pigments suspended in The Ordinary’s proprietary spreadability system, the foundation guarantees a natural looking, long-lasting finish that resists collecting in fine lines and appearing cakey.
The makeup is available in 21 different shades, which are divided up into 3 categories. 1 is designed for fair to lighter skin tones, 2 for medium tones and 3 for dark. Each category is classified further by a second digit ranging from 1 to 3, to indicate its depth within a category. Finally, the letter at the end of the shade indicates its undertone; P for pink, R for red, N for neutral and Y for yellow.
A small number of shades boast an additional letter, S for silver highlights and G for gold. These foundations are infused with fine dispersions of metallic effect pigments, which add a luminous radiance to the complexion.
Vegan friendly. Cruelty-free.
Free from alcohol, oil, nuts, gluten and soy.
Shake before use. Dispense a small amount into the palm or the back of your hand. Smooth on and blend throughout the face, ideally outward from the midpoint of the face.

Dewy finish
One of the best foundations I've ever tried. I like a lot of the Ordinary products, so after seeing some online reviews of the Serum foundations I've decided to try it. I love it, the coverage is good, not too heavy not too sheer, it leaves your skin glowy and with a natural and lightweight finish.

The Ordinary Serum foundation
Well, I ordered this serum foundation with lot of research it arrived pretty fast. The consistency is liquidy and it does mentions on the bottle that coverage is "light" which is justified. After my first application I was surprised to figure out that though light coverage it is able to uniform the overall tone of the face. But what was more pleasant was that after taking it off I felt that skin was smooth and bit better nothing significant but it somehow like I put something good on face.which wasn't expected so an added bonus for me. After application whole day I don't feel I have anything on my skin at all, even lighter feeling than a Nivea cream (for example). It stay put without touching up for 5-6 hours and after that another 6-7 hours with touch up. However, I can't describe more because unfortunately even after so much color matching and shade study I ended up buying way too lighter shade for myself. I am NC42 in Mac Studio and ordered 1.2Y for The Ordinary which came out to be a thin yellow liquid actually would suit well on fair asian girl. Because I liked the foundation for its feel and sole purpose which it is able to do even in wrong shade I apply it after priming and then use bare minerals foundation in my right shade, so basically I appear getting a full coverage without using concealer, the end result is pretty impressive ! Planning to buy my correct shade next time, I hope they would have provided more help in color swatches etc. Because I see no Indian subcontinent models in their website, they do have mexican/ North american type which they assumed might fit into Indian subs but unfortunately this side is too wide and varied. Overall a Good foundation if you want a casual, care free, no make up, minimalism look , that it does very well !!
