The collection’s CoWash is a vegan cleanser that purges hair of impurities while conditioning, detangling and moisturising with a unique blend of natural ingredients that promote healthy growth and balances the scalp’s microflora. Enriched with a nano-blend of Ceramides, the restorative shampoo purifies the scalp, lifting excess oils, dead skin cells and follicle-clogging product build-up and pollutants, while vitamins C and E offer antioxidant protection. Wet hair thoroughly. Rub a liberal amount between palms and distribute throughout hair. Work product through hair and massage scalp with fingertips as you would a conventional shampoo. Carefully detangle hair with a wide-tooth comb. Rinse well. Repeat only if necessary, to remove excessive product build up or for further scalp cleansing. Follow with conditioning.

A firm favourite

It is amazing, the consistency is like mask or conditioner, but it’s also a shampoo. I really like it, doesn’t leave hair oily.

Works well enough
Got this as an alternative to the awesome coconut cowash, which seems to have been discontinued ;( Unlike other users, I actually quite like this version, even though I do admit that I vastly prefer the smell of the coconut cowash. The smell aside, I love the texture of this cowash; it's not as viscous as the coconut one, which makes applying a small amount liberally much easier. Would love for the coconut cowash to return so that I can use that and this jamaican black castor oil one on a rotating basis!

Good replacement for the As I Am GroWash
For my Low Porosity, 3c/4a hair this CoWash is beautiful. Great slip and great scent. Nice gentle cleanse. Good replacement for the As I Am GroWash which disappointingly has dimethicone in it. Such a shame; as the GroWash scent surpasses all of their other CoWashes.

Brilliant product for wavy/curly hair!
This product is true to its promise, and managed to cleanse and condition at the same time! I'll admit it took some getting used to. It doesn't lather as much as a regular shampoo, and so you really have to patiently work it into your scalp with the pads of your fingers in order to lift the dirt and oil out. Does add a few extra minutes to your hair cleansing routine. But my - oh my, was it worth it! Hair feels so much more conditioned, way less tangle and frizz! I actually prefer to use it on its own! I tried using a conditioner from a different brand and it made my hair frizz. :( I would recommend using this on its own, and then adding a leave-in conditioner/ oil to your towel dried damp hair after. Locks in the moisture!
